Historia
Entebbe was established in the late 19th century and served as the administrative capital of Uganda during British colonial rule. Its strategic location on the shores of Lake Victoria made it an important port and a center for trade and transport.
The city gained international attention during the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight, which led to a dramatic rescue operation by Israeli commandos at Entebbe Airport. This event has since become a significant part of the city's modern history.
